Golden Triangle DKI has opening for a Asbestos Abatement certified Restoration Technician for our Cambridge Branch.
Golden Triangle DKI provides a full range of disaster restoration and cleaning services to commercial and residential properties. We are based in Cambridge and service customers in the Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph and surrounding areas. Golden Triangle DKI is a member of the Institute of Inspection and Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) and the staff is fully trained in restoration techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform water mitigation techniques to damaged properties following industry protocols
- Ensure all necessary Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed
- Lead crews in various property losses
- Set up of necessary drying and deodorizing equipment
- Carry out moisture monitoring
- Handling of customer's contents in a safe and protective manner
- Cleanup of contaminated sites
- Daily driving
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotation
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year experience in emergency restoration
- Experience in property disaster cleanup (fire, wind, water)
- Clean driver's abstract
- IICRC certification(s)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO POSITION
Duties:
- Perform restoration work on buildings and structures that have been damaged by fire, water, or other disasters
- Clean and sanitize affected areas to remove debris, mold, and other contaminants
- Remove damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation
- Repair or replace damaged structural components
- Use specialized equipment and tools to extract water, dry out affected areas, and restore air quality
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
- Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to work in hazardous environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and client
