Vicwest is hiring General Labourers/Utility to support the Stratford facility.
Position Summary
The General Labourer will be responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by handling materials, operating machinery, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with loading and unloading raw materials and finished products.
- Operate basic machinery and equipment safely under supervision.
- Perform manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Inspect materials and products for quality and report any defects.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support the production team with various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Operators Crane Certification license (asset)
- Lift-truck license
- High mechanical aptitude
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Good communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
- Able to distinguish varying colors.
