Job Title: General Labourer – Scrap Metal Recycling Facility

We are a fast-paced scrap metal recycling facility committed to safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Labourer to join our team and support daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, process, and organize ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks and equipment.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Provide support to machine operators, scale operators, and yard staff as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform general yard duties such as sweeping, shoveling, or moving materials.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a recycling, scrap yard, or industrial environment is an asset (not required).
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, working outdoors in various weather conditions).
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Safety-conscious mindset and ability to work as part of a team.
- Forklift or equipment operating experience is an asset, but training can be provided.
