Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants and landscaping, with the ability to maintain and enhance outdoor spaces. This role involves a variety of tasks related to garden care, landscape maintenance, and the use of both hand and power tools. The Gardener will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients gardens are healthy, beautiful, and well-maintained.
Duties
- Perform regular garden maintenance tasks including planting, weeding, pruning, and mulching.
- Maintain landscape features by trimming hedges.
- Utilize hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners effectively for various gardening tasks.
- Operate power tools such as trimmers, and blowers safely and efficiently.
- Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases; take appropriate action as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to plan new garden layouts or landscape designs as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of gardening equipment and work areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is mandatory.
- Knowledge of plant care techniques and landscape design principles is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards in garden aesthetics.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Having a driver’s license is a must.
