RAPS is Seeking a Full Time Overnight Awake Caregiver to Assist an Individual with a Brain Injury & Complex Needs (A7)
Location: South Edmonton (near Windermere)
Days: 4 nights per week, schedule to be made with the family directly
Hours: 8pm – 7am
Rate of Pay: $21/Hour
JOB DESCRIPTION: duties include but are not limited to:
· Building meaningful relationship with client and family.
· Client handling/transferring.
· Personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, changing incontinent products).
· Feeding and medication administration via g-tube.
· Respiratory care (cough assist, nebulizer machine, suctioning).
· ROM/stretching assistance.
· Light housekeeping (sanitizing equipment, light laundry).
· Accompany on nature walks.
· Client engagement and companionship.
QUALIFICATIONS: Recent Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector, Health Care Aide Certificate, First-Aid/CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain), fluent in English and be a non-smoker. Nursing experience is a strong asset. Ideal candidate will be reliable, consistent, and caring in nature. Preference given to those who have experience with respiratory care and g-tubes.
