Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting good oral health. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in Dentrix software.
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any patient inquiries or concerns with professionalism.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with orthodontics is a plus.
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, as effective communication is key to patient care.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of dental practice management software is preferred.
