Responsibilities include:
- To work as part of a team in a residential program
- Supervision and monitoring of clients
- Behaviour Management
- Assist clients with daily routines and personal care
- Conduct appointments
- Administer medication
- Grocery shopping, cooking
- Household duties (ie. cleaning, laundry, etc)
- Liaison with outside professionals
- Data collection and documentation
- Participate in all scheduled staff training programs
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7 am- 3 or 4 pm, (depending on needs of program)
Qualifications/Experience:
- Post-secondary certificate in DSW, CYW, SSW, or equivalent and/or related University degree/ experience
- Knowledge and experience in Mental Health, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Developmental/ Behavioural Challenges
- Good team building skills
- Good interactive/ communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good organization and time management skills
- Experience in medication administration an asset
- Driver's License is mandatory for this position
