Overview:
JJ Bakes Company is a Filipina-owned cafe and we are seeking a highly organized and motivated Front of House Manager to join our team. As the Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery/cafe and ensuring exceptional customer service. This is a leadership role that requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise front of house staff, including baristas and servers
- Train new employees on cafe policies, procedures, and customer service standards
- Create employee schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand
- Monitor dining areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Ensure all supplies are stocked and order as necessary
- Oversee cash handling procedures and reconcile cash registers at the end of each shift
- Utilize POS systems to process orders, payments, and reservations
- Conduct interviews and assist with hiring decisions for front of house positions
- minimal admin duties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a bakery or coffee shop
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Familiarity with Clover POS systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
