Full Time Building Materials Clerk I - Assiniboia Home Centre - Southland Co-operative Ltd. @ Assiniboia, SK

Position                       FULL TIME CLERK

Responsibilities        
1.  Provide customer service to customers, by assisting customers, and providing information and product knowledge, which is maintained through being dependable for all shifts. 
2.   To assist in implementing price changes at store level.
3.   To assist in the maintenance of in-store signage and shelf labels.
4.   To maintain a shelf verification schedule.
5.   To provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer.
6.   To assist in maintaining and keeping Southland Co-op Assiniboia Home Centre price files up to date and organized as per Southland Co-op procedures.
7.   Look after drive through check out.
8.   To process phone delivery requests in an orderly manner, phone orders, and pickups, process at till when required. 
9.   To assist in all areas of the floor, this includes customer service in the paint department.
10.    Ability to do small estimates and assist customers with problem solving issues.
11. To operate and maintain all equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
12.  To deliver product as directed by team leader.           

Requirements                       
1. Lumber and Hardware knowledge an asset.
2. Paint knowledge and home décor would be an asset.
3. POS/ MI-9 knowledge would be a great asset. 
4. Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, outgoing and energetic personality.
5. Ability to solve problems.
6. Excellent customer service
7. Physically able to do heavy lifting, climbing & kneeling.
8. Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
9. Willingness to further knowledge through training.
10.  Valid Class 5 or higher driver’s license with driver’s abstract.
11.  A desire and ability to work with the public.
12.  Forklift Certification would be an asset.
13.  Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as per Southland policy.
