Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in a high-volume cafe or bakery setting, a passion for coffee and sweets and a desire to deliver exceptional customer service with every interaction
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a full menu of coffee, espresso drinks, including cappuccinos, lattes, machiattos and specialty beverages
- Operate commercial espresso machines, grinders, brewers and other coffee equipment
- provide friendly, prompt and attentive service to all customers
- manage cash register operations, handle transactions accurately and maintain a clean and organized work space.
- refill and rotate supplies, including milk, coffee beans, cups, syrups, pastries, etc.
- communicate clearly with kitchen and bakery staff to coordinate orders and manage peak periods
- follow health & safety guidelines for food handling and cleanliness
- educate customers on our bakery products, coffee options and seasonal offerings
- assist with cleaning and closing duties.
Experience
- a minimum of 1+ year experience as a barista or cafe worker in a fast paced environment
- familiarity with traditional Italian coffee & pastries
- excellent communication & multitasking skills
- must be punctual, reliable and a team player
- able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 20lbs
- available to work Tuesday to Friday 12-8pm and Saturdays 11-7pm (holidays as needed)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Nobleton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
