JOB TITLE: Front Desk Attendant

The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for the successful check in and check out of all guests in a welcoming, caring and timely manner, providing information on the room types and amenities in the room along with the services and facilities throughout the resort. This position plays a pivotal role in the guests overall positive experience during their stay
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Performing all check in and check out tasks in a welcoming and timely manner.
- Registering guests at check in, confirming and collecting necessary information such as phone and email contacts, dates of stay
- Informing guests about payment methods, verifying credit card information
- A thorough knowledge of all the different room types and confidently describe the room set up and amenities in the rooms.
- Provide up to date information on all of the services and facilities throughout the resort and the surrounding community.
- Upsell room types when the opportunity arises.
- Liaise with Housekeeping and Maintenance on room status of cleanliness and in working order.
- Respond to guest concerns/complaints in a professional manner and resolve any issues in a timely manner and that is satisfactory to the guest.
- Answering phones at the front desk in a timely manner.
- Assisting in phone reservations when required
- May perform other duties and functions as assigned based on business levels throughout the resort and organizational changes as directed by the Owner, VP of Operations & General Manager and the Front Office Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Work experience in a Customer Service role
- Work experience in a Front Desk Attendant role an asset
- Very strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and understand multiple software systems.
- Strong knowledge in MS Word, Excel
- Adaptable to a busy and fast paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational abilities
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed mainly indoors
- Must be able to bend, reach, lift at least 20lbs
- Must be able to stand on average of 7 hours per shift
- Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and
holidays
