Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and restaurant management, demonstrating exceptional leadership and customer service skills. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, ensuring efficient operations.
• Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and presentation standards.
• Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash handling and transaction accuracy.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster professional development.
• Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new staff.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
• Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the food industry with a focus on restaurant management or hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
• Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with a passion for enhancing guest experiences.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
• Previous kitchen experience is essential; barista experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff in a fast-paced environment.
