The Mallard Lounge - Food & Beverage Manager
At Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, exceptional service and flavors are the hallmarks of every dining experience. In the Mallard Lounge, your leadership and passion for guest service will drive outstanding operating results.
Salary Range: $78,000 - $85,000 gross annually, based on previous experience and education
Job Duties Include:
- Lead the Mallard Lounge team to deliver service excellence to all guests
- Deliver training and provide consistent coaching to new and existing team members
- Drive revenue and profit through the development and implementation of strategies, practices and promotions
- Create restaurant budgets and forecasts, focusing on labour productivity, revenue and expenses
- Manage the beverage inventory in the lounge, ensuring cost controls are in place
- Foster and maintain high colleague engagement, performance and team spirit within the department
- Follow up on guest complaints and ensure appropriate internal follow up, including implementing training resolutions and effective performance management where applicable
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ management experience within Food & Beverage
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenues and profit through menu design, food & beverage offerings and effective marketing strategies
- A thorough working knowledge of wines, liqueurs and other beverages. Sommelier designation an asset
- Experience with Food & Beverage financial reporting structures (budgets, labor, productivity, revenue, and expenses)
