Job Overview
Front of House Supervisors (FOH Supervisor) will assist the General Manager in executing store operations. As a team lead, the FOH Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations including but not limited to providing customers with quality service, beverages, and in-house products, and managing the team. It is the responsibility of the FOH Supervisor) to ensure the guest experience from beginning to end is exceptional and memorable while exhibiting customer service, product knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion!
Job responsibilities
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store.
- Operating to the brand standards, and to set a positive example for the shift team.
- Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
- Coordinate, assign and review work such as café service, cleaning/organizing the eating area and the service area.
- Communicates and provides feedback to store manager on employee performance during shift.
- Assists with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
- Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing alarming or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
- Follows Neo Coffee Bar operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all employees during each shift. Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by shift team.
- Follows up with baristas during the shift to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service for all customers.
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
- Address guests’ complaints related to food quality and service
- Conduct quality control of coffee beans.
- Comply and action all health, food safety and hygiene standards and policies.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience is a requirement.
- A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience is a requirement.
- Café experience is a strong asset.
- Food Handler and Smart Serve are requirements.
- Understanding of cafe operational procedures.
- Proven history of strong leadership experience.
- Strong effective communication and interpersonal skills in English.
- Positive attitude and excellent customer-oriented approach.
- Team player – assist in a positive guest experience however necessary.
- Innovative, detail oriented, and quality conscious.
- Effective decision-making skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.75-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
