We are actively looking for a detail-oriented Field Survey Technician to support the project lead in our land surveying operations. This full-time, permanent position is a crucial part of our operations, offering opportunities to develop valuable skills and grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work outdoors on a diverse range of surveys.
- Operate and maintain various surveying instruments and field equipment, such as robotic total stations, GNSS and drone technology.
- Communicate with clients and on-site personnel to understand project tasks.
- Collect, record, and download field data in accordance with office procedures and policies.
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment in accordance with office procedures and policies.
Pre-Requisites:
- Field experience in legal, topographic, construction, and engineering surveys.
- Demonstrated competence in operating and maintaining surveying instruments and equipment.
- Diploma or Degree in Geomatics is an asset.
- An Advanced Drone Pilot License is an asset.
- A good communicator and a desire to learn.
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions and adapt to changing field environments.
- Valid BC Driver's License.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
