Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of surface preparation, including sanding, patching, priming, and masking
- Apply paints, stains, coatings, and specialty finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Read and follow blueprints, work orders, or specifications for each project
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and adhere to all safety protocols
- Collaborate with foremen and project managers to ensure work meets or exceeds quality standards
- Mentor and support apprentices when required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of professional painting experience (residential, commercial, or industrial)
- Strong knowledge of tools, materials, surface prep, and application techniques
- Ability to produce clean, consistent finishes with attention to detail
- Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts as needed
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred
- Experience with specialty coatings, epoxy, or spray systems is an asset
