About Us
Dan’s Legacy provides trauma-informed and culturally sensitive counselling and life-skills intervention programs to youth affected by mental health and addictions issues. Our clients are primarily youth aging out of foster care who are at the highest risk for life-long mental health issues, gang involvement, homelessness, addiction, overdose and suicide. Our therapists go directly to them wherever they are, wait lists are minimal, and our counselling services are free. We also make sure the youth have food, housing, and other programming that connects them to community.
Contributing your time and talents to Dan’s Legacy is a meaningful opportunity to give back to your community and demonstrate your commitment to youth at risk. We sincerely thank all applicants for their interest in volunteering with us!
