Under the direction of the Marketing & Sponsorship Specialist, the Event Sponsorship Ambassador is responsible to coordinate, monitor and organize all sponsor related activities on site at events; may include sponsor vendors, entertainment, product handouts etc.
Previous experience coordinating, organizing and implementing events and/or activities.
Previous experience in overseeing others in a recreation environment/facility/event.
Familiar with Town of Newmarket and Town of Newmarket events.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to deal courteously and effectively with all levels of Sponsor / Stakeholder contacts, Town staff, Council Members, and the general public.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Availability/flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and split shifts.
Ability to work outdoors for up to 10 hours.
Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety legislation and associated procedures as it relates to ensuring the health and safety of patrons.
Current Standard First Aid &CPR-C certification required.
Due to the nature of the contacts of this position a Police Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the Town is required.
