Position Summary
The Evaluation and Policy Consultant will work collaboratively across the Division and directly with the Board of Trustees to address complex policy and regulatory issues, support strategic planning, and monitor and evaluate Division-wide strategic initiatives.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- providing support to the Trustee Policy Review Committee around the review, revision and development of all board policy work
- supporting the development and implementation of the Policy Review Committee's annual work plan
- developing processes and facilitating engagement related to the development and revision of board policies and administrative regulations, including the design and implementation of engagement tools, and the analysis and reporting of results to inform decision-making
- conducting research and environmental scans to support board policy work, including the review and interpretation of legislation
- developing board reports and speaking notes to support the Policy Review Committee
- overseeing and maintaining a documentation and retention structure to ensure an accurate historical record of current and former policies and administrative regulations
- coordinating across the Division to support the evaluation and reporting efforts related to the Division’s strategic plan and priority initiatives
- planning and facilitating stakeholder engagement activities in support of the development and implementation of evaluation activities supporting the Division's review of research proposals to help ensure all research conducted in the Division is aligned with our values, supports the mandate of public education and adheres to all Division Board Policies and administrative regulations
Education/Qualifications
- master’s degree in education, policy studies or a related field
- a minimum of three years related experience
- experience in policy development including synthesizing findings and analysis into sound policy direction
- knowledge of program evaluation and reporting
- experience in strategic planning and reporting processes
- experience engaging with diverse communities excellent communication and collaboration skills
Rate of Pay
$50.99 - $65.21 per hour
