Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction estimating process, ensuring accurate project pricing and facilitating effective communication between project managers and clients. This position requires strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of construction estimating, and proficiency in relevant software tools.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Utilize HeavyBid software to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project requirements.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible rates.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference.
- Assist in the preparation of bid packages and ensure timely submission of proposals.
- Use Bluebeam for document management and collaboration on project plans.
- Monitor project budgets and provide updates on cost variances as needed.
- Support the project management team in tracking progress and addressing any discrepancies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in HeavyBid software is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail in pricing strategies.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar document management tools is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong analytical skills to assess project requirements and costs accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders.
