POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the VP Corporate Services and CFO, the Environmental Services Manager is responsible for the overall direction and leadership of Housekeeping, Linen Services and Food Service department including patient food service and clinical nutrition at the Chesley, Durham, Kincardine, and Walkerton sites of South Bruce Grey Health Centre. Staffing and budget needs must be met in all areas of responsibility.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES:
- 4 Year undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition or 2-year Diploma from a recognized college in Food Service Management.
- Minimum 5 years management experience required.
- Experience in Health Care preferred.
- Member CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Managers).
- Member of CAEM (Canadian Association of Environmental Managers).
- Experience in Infection Control and PIDAC standards.
- Experience managing in a unionized environment.
- Experience with scheduling.
- Weekly travel to all four sites.
- Exercise excellent time-management skills, evaluates and plans the associated activities of the management.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to deal with internal/external customers and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage internal relationships.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel) and highly adept at identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and mentor team members.
- Ability to effectively manage internal and external expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced and demanding environment.

- Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at SBGHC through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes.

South Bruce Grey Health Centre is a four-site, 66-bed hospital located in mid-western Ontario with locations in Kincardine, Walkerton, Chesley and Durham. We serve a community of 44,000 people, plus 10,000 seasonal residents and 30,000 tourists across our catchment area. Two hours from Toronto and London, and 90 minutes from Kitchener-Waterloo, all of our sites offer 24/7-hour emergency care. Other services include acute, medical, obstetrical (450 births at the RJ Creighton Family Birthing Centre), surgical and a full range of diagnostic and ambulatory care services.
