Job Title: ESL (English as a Second Language) Tutor Location: Altario, Alberta (in-person and online)
Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an ESL Tutor. This role involves providing English language support through one-on-one and small group sessions, primarily in-person in Altario, with some sessions conducted online via Zoom.
Whether you're experienced or just starting out, we provide training and resources to help you succeed in this rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging ESL instruction to individuals and small groups
- Use provided resources and tools to support learners at various levels
- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
- Travel to Altario for in-person sessions (mileage will be reimbursed)
- Conduct some sessions remotely via Zoom as needed
- Track attendance and student progress as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to Altario
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different learning needs
- Teaching or tutoring experience is an asset, but not required
- Comfort with using Zoom and basic digital tools
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable sector check required
Hours:
- Flexible; hours will vary based on student demand
