Job Description
The Enforcement Officer ensures that all parking rules are followed without exception. The Parking Enforcement Officer must ensure we consistently meet the client’s expectations by providing excellent customer service. They are also the ambassador for the company as well as the venue.
Location: Chatham-Kent
Job type: Part-time, 3 days/3 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas as assigned by the manager
- Monitor and enforce parking regulations using the LPR vehicle system
- Issue warnings and citations for vehicles in violation of parking rules
- Arrange towing for illegally parked or abandoned vehicles and coordinate with tow-truck drivers
- Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes, stolen vehicles, or counterfeit permits
- Observe and report hazardous conditions (e.g., unsafe signage) and recommend corrective action
- Prepare and maintain accurate enforcement and operational records
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of assigned equipment (e.g., handheld computers, citation book)
- Provide clear and courteous information to the public regarding parking regulations, facilities, and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Confidence in problem solving and ability to manage stressful situations
- Ability to clearly and accurately communicate both written and verbally
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of handheld computer, personal computer (Windows XP/Mobile) and mobile phone features
