Help Autistic Adults Build Meaningful Careers
Do you have a passion for inclusive employment and a drive to support Autistic adults in building skills and confidence in the workplace? Autism Nova Scotia is seeking a part-time Employment Coach to support the EmploymentWorks program — a pre-employment initiative designed to help Autistic adults explore career pathways through structured learning and on-site work experiences.
In this key support role, you’ll work directly with program participants during weekend work placements, providing individualized coaching and helping participants identify their strengths, navigate workplace expectations, and build independence. You’ll also collaborate with program staff and employers to ensure safe, inclusive, and empowering learning environments.
About the Role
As an Employment Coach, you will work one-on-one with Autistic participants during their scheduled work experience shifts — primarily on Saturdays. This is a hands-on, community-based role that requires strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a commitment to inclusion.
