The Egg Processor will work as part of the team ensuring the company’s policies and procedures are followed. Responsibilities of an Egg Processor will include transferring ungraded eggs from carts or pallets to the loader; complete and record grade checks as required; packing eggs on carts or into boxes; and work area clean up. The individual in this position will assist in shipping if required stamping boxes and palletizing product.
The Casual Driving aspect of the position will only be used to support the full-time Drivers. This will be on a causal basis and will help support our operations if needed.
Schedule
The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch and two 15-minute breaks. Weekend and holiday work may be required based on operational requirements.
Position Accountabilities for Entire Position

Egg Processor Accountabilities (Most to all work will be conducted in this role)
- Transferring un-graded eggs from carts or pallets to the loader unit
- Recording of wash water temperature and ph balance cleaning buffers
- Pack eggs on carts or into boxes egg grade checks
- Loading and unloading of eggs and packing supplies
- Cleaning and sweeping of buildings
- Cleaning equipment and egg related areas
- Building pallets for shipping to the breaker plant
- Weighing, listing, and labelling of pallets when completed
- Packing good quality products with high attention to detail to meet the needs of our customers
Casual Driver Accountabilities
- Pick-up and deliver eggs
- Pick-up and deliver packaging supplies
- Oversee daily pre-trip inspection and cleanliness of truck
- Accept money from stores for cash sales
- Check invoices and deliver proper product
- Load/Unload heavy product off truck using an electric pallet jack
- Load/Unload carts
- Maintain vehicle log
Position Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kgs)
- Strong commitment to health & safety
- Valid Class 3 License with Airbrakes
- Experience driving a truck with air brakes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Have and maintain a good driving record

Experience using electric pallet jack
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience in the agricultural industry preferable.
- Experience in food processing preferred
Working Conditions
The position operates indoors in a production environment that is physically demanding, fast paced with repetitive work that requires standing for long periods of time. The work environment may be cooler in certain sections of the facility, with staff working in refrigerated areas. Proper safety footwear is required and supplied with additional PPE available upon request. As a driver you will also be required to work outdoors in all conditions, at times it will be dusty with strong odors in the barns, and sitting for extended periods of time.
