Job Posting: Educational Assistant
Dewberry ECS requires a part time Educational Assistant for the 2025-2026 School Year for placement in Kindergarten and Pre-K.
Where: Dewberry ECPS, Dewberry, AB.
Position: Part-Time Educational Assistant
-MUST be willing to carry out toileting duties.
-Experience with Speech-Language development is considered an asset.
Further Duties include:
- Implementing educational instruction to identified student(s) including researching, preparing and collecting materials and supplies.
- Working with outside agencies, such as SLP and OT, to be able to deliver required PUF support.
- Assisting in appropriate student data collection, monitoring, observing and reporting to the classroom teacher on student(s) progress and making recommendations for further assistance.
- Assisting students in the development of appropriate academic, social, behaviour, and life skill goals. Encouraging and supporting all students in development of skills and interests to promote independence.
-Provide supervision to students at breaks such as recess.
In addition to strong communication skills and a commitment to student learning, the successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to work closely with parents, classroom teacher, and the Dewberry ECS Board in support of students' individual program plans. Training or experience as an educational assistant would be a definite asset.

About Dewberry ECPS:
The purpose of Dewberry Early Childhood Parent Society is to provide quality and professional early childhood education through the following capacities:
- Provincially Recognized and Accredited ECS Program (Ages 5-6): Quality and professional early childhood education program for students aged 5-6, compliant with the Education Act, and funded through provincial government grants and fundraising efforts.
- Private 4-Year-Old Pre-K Program: Privately developed Pre-K program for 4-year-olds, led by a certified teacher. This program is funded through tuition and fundraising.
- Private 3-Year-Old Pre-K Program: Privately developed Pre-K program for 3-year-olds, also led by a certified teacher. This program is funded through tuition and fundraising.
- Community Engagement and Fundraising: In addition to these educational programs, Dewberry Early Childhood Parent Society organization actively engages the community in fundraising efforts to support and sustain these initiatives.

Pay: $16.50-$21.50 per hour
