Early Childhood Educator – Infant Toddler
Wage: $22–$25 per hour plus $6 wage enhancemet

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator with Infant Toddler to join our dedicated team. Our mission is to provide trustworthy, respectful, and culturally responsive care that meets the needs of families and children in our community.
Position Summary:
The ECE IT will be responsible for the daily operations of the classroom, working closely with the facility representative. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of early childhood development, inclusive care practices, and the Child Care Licensing Regulations. They will be passionate about delivering high-quality, play-based, and developmentally appropriate programming for children aged 0–36 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that fosters holistic and strength-based early childhood development.
- Ensure the center remains compliant with all Child Care Licensing Regulations, including record keeping and facility maintenance.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality care to infants and toddlers with a focus on age-appropriate development.
- Apply positive behavior guidance techniques and collaborate with external support agencies for children with higher behavioral needs.
- Plan and implement curriculum inspired by current early childhood development research.
- Foster positive communication and respectful collaboration with team members, families, and professionals.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education & Certification:
- Valid Early Childhood Education License with Infant Toddler (BC required)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Clear Criminal Record Check
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year working with infants and toddlers (0–36 months)
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills
- Knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework and play-based learning
- Effective time management, planning, and organizational skills
- Leadership and curriculum development experience for 0–3 age group
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Familiarity with community resources and services
