Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. You will implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering the growth of each child.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
- Collaborate with other educators and specialists to enhance the learning experience.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
Skills
- Valid ECE-EC or ECE-IT certification in British Columbia
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (an asset)
- Knowledge of another language is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
