Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the development and learning of young children in a nurturing and engaging environment. You will work closely with lead educators to create a safe and stimulating atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children, including those with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote early childhood development.
- Provide care and supervision for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support children’s learning through play-based activities, encouraging exploration and creativity.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a collaborative community.
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Observe and document children's progress, providing feedback to lead educators as needed.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education.
- Knowledge in Pedagogy.
Requirements
- Previous classroom experience or relevant work with young children is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- A background in early childhood education or caregiving is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to engage children in meaningful activities that promote learning and development.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
