We are growing again. This is a DZ licensed Yard Associate position in our DELHI location. This store is open 7am - 6pm Monday - Friday and 8am - 5pm on Saturdays. This is a physically demanding position that works an 8 hour shift with a 1 hour unpaid lunch and 2 paid 15 minute breaks 5 days a week. The successful candidate will either have a 0-8 ton boom certificate or be willing to learn and obtain the certificate.
Job duties are as follows but not limited to:
- Operate a 0-8 ton boom delivery truck
- Work with Customers to gather their purchased materials.
- Prepare orders to be delivered
- Daily circle checks and regular cleaning upkeep to the delivery vehicles.
- Deliver material to customer locations in a safe, friendly and efficient manner.
- Translate strategic goals into practical action.
- Use strong planning and organizing skills to keep the yard clean and organized.
- Ensure physical inventory is accurate, performing random product cycle counts - as requested by the yard manager
- Carry materials into buildings and up and down stairs. i.e.) drywall, trim, doors etc.
- Use forklift to move materials around the yard and at job sites.
Job requirements:
- 0-8 Ton boom certificate/ or willing to learn and successfully obtain the certificate.
- Able to work some Saturdays
- Valid DZ class Drivers license with a clean abstract and 3 years insured experience.
- Able to carry sheet goods and lift 80lbs
- Previous forklift experience - or confidant enough to learn to operate.
- A positive "can do" attitude.
- Motivated and able to work in a team environment.
- Previous inventory organization experience is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills
