Job Overview
We are seeking a full time experienced Class 1 Dump Truck Driver for Truck & Transfer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials from gravel pits to construction/job sites, ensuring that all loads are delivered safely and efficiently.
Must have experience with manual transmission. Must have at least 2 years of dump truck driving experience. Must have at least 2 years of truck & transfer experience. Must have knowledge and be familiar of all major roads and highways in the Lower Mainland without using the GPS. Also, must have knowledge of all gravel pits.
This is year round work and roughly 40-60 hours per week, weekend work also occasionally. Job duties include fueling, daily pre-trip & post-trip, and filling out trucking bill-books. Compensation will depend on experience.
Driver must have own ride. Driver must have a valid and clean Class 1 driver's license and abstract. Must be living in the Lower Mainland for 1 year. Drug test may be required for interview process. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and dirt to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including loads and material quantities.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the job site.
- Communicate effectively with site managers and other team members.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Class 1 Driver's License
- Truck & Transfer experience
- Strong knowledge of material handling and transportation regulations.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic repair skills for routine maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
