Overview
We are seeking a skilled Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting and carpentry, with the ability to read blueprints and perform caulking tasks. As a Taper, you will play a crucial role in preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring high-quality finishes, and contributing to the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Apply tape and joint compound to drywall seams and corners to create smooth surfaces for painting.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
- Perform caulking tasks to seal joints and gaps in walls, ceilings, and other structures.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Assist with additional maintenance person tasks as needed throughout the construction process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall taping and carpentry is essential.
- Strong knowledge of caulking techniques and materials.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately.
- Previous maintenance person experience is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 – 40 per week
