South Side Laundry and Dry Cleaning has an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.
We are hiring a Dry Cleaning Assistant.
This is a part time permanent position that would require the ideal candidate to work approximately 12 hours per week. (4 hours each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) more hours would be required to fill days off, or for busier weeks.
In this position you would be trained on every aspect of dry cleaning. Including but not limited to, inspecting clothing, spot removal, running pressing equipment, start up and shut down a boiler, iron and steam clothes.
You would be working in a hot environment and would need to be able to use stairs to get to the third level of our building. The ideal candidate will be very organized, detailed oriented and must take pride in the work they do! Work must be completed within the required deadline. You would be part of a team that is dedicated to customer satisfaction. Excellent written and oral communication is required for this position.

Qualifications
- Prior experience in a dry cleaning role is preferred, but all training will be provided.
- Excellent written & oral communication required.
- Attention to detail Required.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina to perform dry cleaning tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods In a hot environment.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
