Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to a variety of dogs, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals (specifically dogs), strong customer service skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling dogs (cats is a nice to have, not required) according to breed standards and client preferences.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of each pet during the grooming process.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any concerns that may arise.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their questions or requests.
- Handle pets safely and securely, demonstrating patience and care at all times.
- Assist in lifting larger pets or those requiring special handling during grooming sessions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dog grooming; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with pet owners.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming needs is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
