Job Summary
We are seeking a calm, passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team at the number one voted Grooming Salon and Dog Daycare in Burnaby. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. This role involves working closely with pets and their owners to ensure a positive grooming experience, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and Cats if properly trained to do so
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, providing recommendations for care as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming services, pet health, and any concerns that may arise during the grooming process.
- Provide excellent customer service to build rapport with clients and encourage repeat business.
- Handle pets safely and comfortably, ensuring their well-being throughout the grooming process.
- Assist in lifting larger pets as needed, demonstrating strength and care during the grooming sessions.
- Must be confident to work independently and also with other groomers and bathers As well as being confident to work on Saturdays solo at the Facility
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pet Groomer Is a must with minimum 3 year full time grooming Experience required with References
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming needs is a plus.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for animals are essential traits for success in this role.
- Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed to accommodate client schedules.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
