So what’s this role all about?
As a Distribution Inventory Auditor you are accountable for location management, capacity management, and inventory management, as well as the auditing of all operational processes in the Distribution Centre. This position is also the key point of contact for Home Office; as well as recalls, quality holds, and return to vendor.
The current schedule for this shift is Monday to Friday (In-person), 4:00pm to 12:30am.
Key Accountabilities in this role include:
- Location Management - Identifying the locations that make the most sense for a product in our warehouse, while considering things like weight, multi-piece and passing along ease to the team by placing high volume/sell through items in efficient areas.
- Capacity Management - Allocating inventory to racking/space that meets it's capacity. Identifying and recommending items for bulk lanes, racking, storage or stackable racking. Recommending configurations that safely maximize distribution centre storage capacity.
- Inventory Management - Maintaining inventory accuracy, planning and leading annual physical inventory counts, assigning product categories and warehouse locations, identifying and investigating failures during the picking process.
- Inventory Auditing - Daily accuracy counts, random sampling, and discrepancy investigation.
A few other things we’re looking for:
- Prior distribution and auditing experience preferred
- Have strong knowledge of inventory, supply chain and flow of goods
- Be proficient in reading, math and the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Have strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with AS400 warehouse management system preferred
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs and stand and bend for extended periods of time
- Certification in forklift operation and experience operating equipment
