Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our dynamic team in a busy restaurant environment. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. Responsibilities:
- Dishwashing and Sanitation:
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
- Ensure that all items are washed and stored according to health and safety standards.
- Regularly empty and clean trash bins to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Kitchen Support:
- Assist kitchen staff in basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and mopping floors.
- Adhere to proper food handling and safety guidelines to prevent contamination.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Communicate effectively with team members to manage the flow of dirty and clean dishes.
- Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:
- Follow all sanitation and safety procedures to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Time Management:
- Prioritize and manage tasks effectively to keep up with the demands of a high-volume restaurant.
- Be adaptable to changing priorities and be able to work under pressure during peak hours.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Knowledge of proper food handling and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
Schedule:
The shifts start at 5pm and can go as late as 2am.
