Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher/Busser to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen and dining areas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, ensuring that all dishes are cleaned promptly and that the dining area is well-prepared for guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Assist in bussing tables by clearing away used dishes, glassware, and silverware promptly after guests finish their meals.
- Help with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients for cooking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the dishwashing station and dining room.
- Support kitchen staff in various capacities during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow health and safety guidelines regarding food handling and sanitation practices.
- Assist with banquet setups and breakdowns as required, ensuring all catering needs are met efficiently.
Skills
- Experience in bussing and cleaning within a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills are beneficial.
- Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus, enhancing the ability to manage large events effectively.
- Strong attention to detail in cleaning and organization tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude in a busy environment.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures to ensure safety standards are met.
- Previous experience in restaurants, kitchens, hotels, or culinary settings is highly desirable.
