Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and delivering exceptional service to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Support the culinary team by providing assistance during peak service times.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the kitchen manager promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with food handling and sanitation practices is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration within the hospitality industry.
