We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director, Treasury to join our Finance and Strategy team. Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Finance and Strategy, this senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all treasury, financing, insurance, and financial compliance functions within Canpotex. The Director will lead a high-performing team, establish and implement financing strategies, manage corporate liquidity and cash flow, execute producer payments, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
The Opportunity:
- Lead, mentor and develop the treasury team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Collaborate on the execution and communication of corporate financial and commercial strategies both within the finance department and across the broader organization.
- Oversee cash flow management, forecasting and corporate liquidity to maximize shareholder value.
- Direct short and long-term financing strategies, including revolvers, debt financing, and railcar leasing.
- Manage external relationships as the commercial lead with banks, debtholders, insurers, insurance brokers and credit rating agencies.
- Oversee corporate insurance programs, renewals and claims management.
- Advisor to the Board of Neptune Bulk Terminals on insurance and risk matters.
- Provide cross-functional commercial analysis to support business decisions and capital investments.
- Critically assess the treasury, financing, and insurance strategies and drive the development and improvement of policies and procedures.
- Ensure the integrity of operational and financial reporting through efficient compliance testing focused on business risk and identifies opportunities for process improvements.
You’ll Bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in treasury/finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in corporate finance, treasury functions, financial markets, and international trade financing.
