At Tempo, we’re on a mission to help teams build better, together. As creators of top-selling Atlassian Marketplace apps, we support more than 29,000 customers, including a third of the Fortune 500 companies, and collaborate with hundreds of Solutions Partners globally. Our solutions enable teams to focus and optimize around their highest priorities by orchestrating creation and delivery.

Since our inception in Iceland in 2009 with our popular time-tracking solution, we’ve expanded our product suite to include resource and capacity planning, project cost tracking, project and program management, and strategic roadmapping. In 2021, Tempo acquired Roadmunk, a roadmapping solution favored by product management teams, and ALM Works, creators of the Structure for Jira suite. In 2023, we further expanded our portfolio by acquiring LiquidPlanner’s capacity planning platform and Old Street Solutions (maker of Custom Charts).

We envision a world where everyone inside an organization works harmoniously on the most impactful opportunities aligned with their mission. Join us as we continuously innovate our award-winning products, create new solutions, and expand to new ecosystems. Are you ready to unlock the joy of building with us?

Role Overview:

Tempo is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Growth Product Management to lead our growth initiatives across the user lifecycle—from acquisition and activation to retention and monetization. As a key leader within the product organization, you will be responsible for defining and driving the company’s growth strategy, scaling experimentation frameworks, and guiding a cross-functional team toward measurable impact on business performance. You will serve as a thought partner to executive leadership and work across product, engineering, marketing, design, and data to shape and execute initiatives that accelerate user and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the Growth Strategy: Develop and champion a comprehensive, long-term growth strategy aligned with company objectives. Prioritize and drive key growth opportunities through user insights, market trends, and data analysis.

  • Drive Monetization and Revenue Impact: Lead initiatives focused on monetization, cross-sell, and up-sell strategies to optimize customer lifetime value (LTV) and increase annual recurring revenue (ARR).

  • Lead the Growth Product Team: Build, mentor, and lead a team of product managers focused on growth. Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, experimentation, and continuous learning.

  • Executive Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership to align on key growth metrics, reporting, and goals. Effectively communicate strategy, progress, and insights to executive stakeholders.

  • Scale Experimentation: Build a rigorous experimentation culture by establishing scalable frameworks for A/B testing and data-driven product development. Ensure learnings are captured, shared, and applied across the organization.

  • Cross-functional Leadership: Act as a central hub between engineering, marketing, design, and analytics teams to ensure alignment and execution of high-impact growth initiatives.

  • Optimize User Journey: Oversee the continuous optimization of user onboarding, engagement loops, and retention mechanics. Leverage behavioral data, feedback, and testing to drive conversion and reduce churn.

  • Analytics and Reporting: Define KPIs, establish dashboards, and ensure data-driven prioritization and decision-making across all growth initiatives. Deliver actionable insights and recommendations based on analysis.

Who you are:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record in growth-focused roles at high-growth tech or SaaS companies.

  • Proven leadership experience managing and scaling high-performing product or growth teams.

  • Deep expertise in user acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization strategies.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with proficiency in A/B testing, SQL, and tools like Amplitude, Looker, LaunchDarkly, or similar platforms.

  • Strong business acumen and a metrics-driven mindset with a demonstrated ability to tie product initiatives to business outcomes.

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.

  • A user-first mindset, with the ability to synthesize customer insights into compelling product experiences.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or technical) a plus.

Why Join Tempo?

  • Impact: Work on meaningful products that empower enterprise users and improve productivity.

  • Innovation: Be part of a culture that values creativity and innovation, with opportunities to make a real impact.

  • Collaboration: Join a supportive, collaborative UX team that values openness, communication, and a continuous learning environment.

  • Growth: Opportunities for professional development, including conferences, courses, and mentorship.
