We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with electronic medical records systems. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar.
- Handle incoming calls, answer inquiries, and provide information about services.
- Maintain patient records accurately using electronic medical records systems such as Opendental or Dentrix or Cleardent.
- Process patient payments and insurance claims efficiently.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the office.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical office or as a dental receptionist is preferred.
- Proficient in using phone systems and managing multi-line calls.
- Familiarity with medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems; knowledge of Opendental or Dentrix is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients professionally.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
