Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental office. This role requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries and concerns effectively.
- Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Process patient payments and manage insurance claims efficiently.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the office.
- Provide patients with information regarding treatments, procedures, and office policies.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (Dentrix preferred) and familiarity with electronic health records (Epic is a plus).
- Strong front desk experience in a dental or medical office setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient information and scheduling.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
