Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. A background in commercial driving, warehouse operations, or moving is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring safe handling and adherence to weight limits.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery times, special requests, and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading and unloading of products.
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of items as required during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred; experience in commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as part of daily responsibilities.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or moving services is advantageous.
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols while on the road.
