What You’ll Be Doing:
- Schedule: 3 delivery days per week April–December, additional days in nursery or general labour
- Organizing and loading delivery vehicles using the most efficient delivery routes
- Handling and delivering products carefully to avoid damage
- Delivering product to customers and picking up from suppliers or clients
- Operating vehicles up to the size of a cube truck, including towing trailers
- Performing plant and fountain installations following internal procedures
- Maintaining delivery vehicles and reporting maintenance issues
- Operating a forklift and skid steer (training provided)
- Supporting the nursery team with sales, customer service, and general labour when not on delivery days
- Assisting customers by loading bagged products into vehicles and providing plant care advice
- Creating invoices for deliveries and installations using our POS system
- Helping maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the Garden Centre
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Watering, pruning, and maintaining plant health across the site
- Taking initiative to solve problems and support the team wherever needed
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive with a trailer
- Comfortable operating larger vehicles (cube truck)
- Physically fit and able to lift 50-75 lbs consistently
- Able to work full 8-hour shifts with potential overtime
- Availability for delivery work 3 days a week and flexibility for additional sales or labour support
- Customer service mindset with a friendly and professional attitude
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Forklift license is an asset (training provided if needed)
- Plant knowledge is an asset but not required—willingness to learn is essential
