Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members. The Delivery Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to quality service.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling during transport.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring that all items are secured for delivery.
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
- Utilize forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading shipments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns during the delivery process.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Experience in moving or handling heavy items is beneficial.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Forklift certification is advantageous but can be obtained after hiring if necessary.
