Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment. Candidates with experience in commercial driving, freight handling, and heavy equipment operation will be highly regarded.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of all items.
- Perform routine inspections of vehicles and equipment before and after trips.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Assist with basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
