THE POSITION: We are currently looking for qualified Early Childhood Educator Assistant to
assist in all aspects of our daycare at 46612 First Avenue in Chilliwack.
Early Childhood Educators will report to the Daycare Supervisor.
Located in Chilliwack
The Early Childhood Educator Assistant provides quality assistance to ECE's in promoting inclusive childcare programming daily;
Ensures the safety and well-being of the children; Helps to support the individual needs
of the children; Works within a group or with individual children; Follows instructions for
individual care plans or special needs; Works positively and cooperatively as a team
player; and performs other tasks as assigned and as directed by the immediate
Supervisor.
This position reports to the Daycare Supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· A Valid Early Childhood Educator license to practice - IT, SN, ECE or ECEA Certificate
· Infant Toddler and Special Needs certification is an asset
· Work experience providing care for Infants/Toddlers and/or 3-5’s preferred
· Knowledge and understanding of Community Care and Assisted Living Act, Child Care Licensing Regulations
· Knowledge and understanding of the development of children and their mental, physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs
· Active First Aid certificate
· Possess positive communication skills
· Demonstrates abilities to build strong relationships with families and children
· Ability to work as a positive team player and maintain a healthy working relationship with staff, supervisor, and the manager
. Adhere to the Philosophy of the UGTS Daycare and expectations of care and program development
. Follow the guidance of the Supervisor and the Manager
· Maintain the confidentiality guidelines of all records, materials and communications concerning clients and staff
· Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision effectively
. Be prepared and organized for daily planned activities
. Be flexible and open to making changes to the schedule or planed activities as it is needed for the benefit of the children.
. Be open to engage in child-led moments and learning opportunities.
Successful candidates will be required to provide the following if screened in for an interview:
· Proof of education documentation
. Must have a valid BC License to Practice
· References: Three names and phone numbers of recent supervisors/professors
· Must possess reliable transportation
· Must successfully pass the required pre-employment Criminal records check through the Province of BC
· Proof of up-to-date vaccinations.
Wage Range per position: $26 ECE, $22-26 ECEA, $26-28(Sp. N or IT) per hour. Wage applied is based on certification.

Salary: From $22.00-28.00 per hour
Schedule: Day shift (7 hrs. daily- plus one hour after-hours prep time)
