Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the development and education of young children. You will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. This position will lead to a permanent role as the director of our Sherbrooke location.
Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being of each child
- Maintain open and effective communication with colleagues and supervisors
- Assess children's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Keep accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and program policies
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with special education strategies and techniques (preferred)
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a classroom
- Ability to utilize computerized systems for record keeping and lesson planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingual is a plus)
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently
