Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. This role involves not only caring for children but also preparing and serving meals, ensuring food safety, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. A background in food service or the food industry is highly desirable.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing manner.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines.
- Ensure all food handling practices meet safety standards to maintain a clean kitchen environment.
- Assist with meal preparation, including cooking and serving food to children.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive daycare experience for children.
- Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance as needed to promote positive interactions.
Qualifications
MUST HAVE MINIMUM LEVEL 1, FIRST AID, AND CRIMINAL RECORD
- Previous experience in a daycare setting or similar role is preferred.
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food service are essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is required to ensure the health and well-being of children.
- Experience in the restaurant or food industry is a plus, providing valuable kitchen experience.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
